Why we made it
December fills up fast. The lists, the wrapping, the countdown to presents.
Ask a child in mid-December what Christmas is about, and you may hear the wish list before you hear about Bethlehem. Not because they don’t care, but because the list is what they see every day.
Most families have the books and the good intentions. But the story stays on the shelf, and the list keeps growing.
Then it clicked: kids don’t remember the Christmas story because someone told it once. They remember it when they live a little piece of it every day.
So each door pairs one part of the story with one thing to do: help like Joseph, say yes like Mary, share like the shepherds.
How it works
- 1Today: Day 0 opens and the first piece of your child’s nativity appears.
- 2Every Sunday in November: All Saints, Mary’s yes, the shepherds, Christ the King, and the first Sunday of Advent.
- 3December 1 to 24: one door a day, one piece of the story, one act of kindness.
By Christmas Eve, your child has built the whole nativity, and can tell you why every piece is there.
